The Founder

Mr. M.A.Saleem is the founder President of the CONARE ( “Conservation of Nature through Rural Awakening”) a Post Graduate in Sociology, and Doctor of Philosophy (Humorous Causa) in the specialised area of social Service, his development career in AWARE organization. His intensive efforts and commitment towards the development of the tribal communities have created a significant impact among the lives of the tribal families, in terms of education, agriculture and health. In the year 1988 he has joined as a Director in Centre for Rural Youth Development (CRYD), and undertaken Watershed Development, and Universalization of Education programs. In the year 1990 he led a Bare Foot Rally (Pada Yatra) to draw attention of the communities on severe drought situation in Achampet. The rally was flagged off from Achampet covering 20 villages and concluded at Palem. In the year 1992, he led a Cycle Rally from Achampet, Telangana to New Delhi on promotion of National Integration and Child Welfare submitted a memorandum to Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma the Then his Excellency President of India.

In the year 1999, along with other likeminded and socially committed group people he founded CONARE organization and has taken up multi-level activities and projects related to rural development, environment protection, women and child care, conservation of forests etc.

In the year 2005 he mobilized 150 farmers and conducted a Bare-Foot Rally “Velugu Bata” from Achampet to Hyderabad Assembly on the Suicidal deaths of farmers. The rally has covered over 25000 people across the villages and towns. A memorandum has been submitted to initiate action to curb suicides of the farmers to the then Honourable Chief Minister, Dr. Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy. In the year 2002, he has received a Commendation Certificate from District Collector for rendering best services in the Mahaboobnagar district. He also received an appreciation from Dr.Shankar Dayal Sharma, Former President of India.
