Overview
CONARE is based at Nagagarkurnool District of Telangana State in India and geographically reaching to the communities in Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy Districts by its interventions.
CONARE (Conservation of Nature through Rural Awakening) has started its work with the forest dependent Primitive and Nomadic tribal communities such as Chenchus, Erukulas, Lambadi and weaker sections of the society in Amarabad Tiger Reserve because of their backwardness and sufferings such as exclusion due to lack of access to Social Protection Schemes, lack of awareness and knowledge of agriculture neither access to the agricultural lands. Since inception the approaches of the organization are towards the holistic development of the communities was taken up through the collective actions.
Who We Are
CONARE (Community Action for Rural Empowerment) is a registered non-profit society established on 17 February 1999 by Mr. M. A. Saleem with a vision to empower marginalized communities through sustainable development and community participation.
CONARE primarily works towards the upliftment and empowerment of the most marginalized and deprived communities especially tribal communities (Chenchu’s, Lambadas and Eurukala) and other schedule castes, poor farmers, minority communities with a focus on working with women, children and youth.

Governance
The organization is governed by a Governing and Advisory boards consisting of seven and nine members respectively. The board is actively supports by their timely suggestions, innovative ideas and also periodically monitor and evaluate the programme. CONARE maintains constitutional ratio of caste, gender and religious practices at the organizational level in all staffing to ensure equality and discrimination free environment.

How We Work
The organization develops and implements long term and short-term projects based on the organizational objectives followed by strategies which are being supported by national, international funding agencies and government departments. These projects are implemented in collaboration with government departments and civil society organizations with a due engagement of community-based stakeholders. A Community Owned and Community Operated (COCO) strategy is adopted for sustainability.

Where We Work
CONARE reaches the unreached communities who are living in the remotest locations without any access to minimum basic amenities. We work in most backward tribal and rural villages with the poorest of the poor communities who are deprived of services and lacks awareness.
