Chaitanya Vikas MACTS – Women Empowerment Programme

Chaitanya Vikas MACTS, established by CONARE in 2006, empowers rural and urban women through financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, skill development, savings, credit, and livelihood promotion, enabling them to achieve economic independence and sustainable development.

Introduction

Chaitanya Vikas MACTS (Mutually Aided Cooperative Thrift Society) was established by CONARE in 2006 with the objective of empowering women through collective savings, access to credit, entrepreneurship development, and livelihood promotion.

The programme supports women from rural and urban communities by strengthening their financial capacity, promoting self-employment opportunities, and encouraging leadership through community-based institutions. It aims to improve the socio-economic status of women and their families through sustainable development initiatives.

Program Details

Chaitanya Vikas Mutually Aided Cooperative Thrift Society initiated by CONARE in Rangareddy District with aim to foresee social and economic empowerment of the marginalized and deprived women in the year 2006. Chaitanya Vikas Society equips Women with technical and entrepreneurial skills to exploit emerging market opportunities and negotiate for fair wages and higher returns for their produce. The society was initially started with 93 women as its members and has now strengthened with 3241 active members.
